Welcome - John Lloyd Davies is an opera and theatre director, designer and dramaturg with an international career spanning more than a hundred productions. His work has ranged from the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, to Vienna, Copenhagen, Brussels, Dallas, Los Angeles, Graz and Nürnberg. He is a holder of the Josef Kainz Medal for contemporary opera work in Vienna, and has recently worked as dramaturg to Kasper Holten on the Royal Opera's recent new production of Szymanowski's Król Roger, as well as Associate Director to Keith Warner for Die Dreigroschenoper at Theater an der Wien, Vienna. His opera Four Sisters, composed by Elena Langer, was premiered in New York and will be performed by the National Opera Studio 4-6 May 2017, directed by David Pountney. Plans include writing and directing a new stage adaptation of Lady Chatterley's Lover for the Reichenau Festival, Austria, which will be filmed by ORF, the Austrian national TV network, and broadcast in September 2017.
