      Welcome - John Lloyd Davies is an opera and theatre director, designer and dramaturg with an international career spanning more than a hundred and fifty productions. His work has ranged from the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, to Vienna, Copenhagen, Brussels, Dallas, Los Angeles, Graz and Nürnberg.

       He is a holder of the Josef Kainz Medal for contemporary opera work in Vienna, and has recently worked as dramaturg to Kasper Holten on the Royal Opera's new production of Szymanowski's Król Roger, as well as Associate Director to Keith Warner for Die Dreigroschenoper at Theater an der Wien, Vienna.

       John Lloyd Davies has recently written the libretto to the opera Four Sisters, composed by Elena Langer, which was premiered in New York with a London premiere at the National Opera Studio, directed by David Pountney. He conceived and directed Twitterdämmerung, the world's first digital community-written opera at the Royal Opera House in 2009, attracting worldwide media coverage.

      He has also recently written and directed a new stage adaptation of Lady Chatterley's Lover for the Festspiele Reichenau, Austria, which broadcast by ORF, the Austrian national TV network. Plans include Mario and the Magician (Thomas Mann), Eine blassblauen Frauenschrift (Franz Werfel) and A Month in the Country (Turgenev).
