Letters of a Love Betrayed (Allende/Alberga/Sturrock)  -  Music Theatre Wales/Royal Opera House. Dramaturge throughout three-year development and composition process on new chamber opera for MTW/ROH2/ROH.

The Bald Soprano (Ionesco/Calvin)  -  ROH2/Tete-a-Tete. Dramaturge throughout development and composition process on new electro-acoustic chamber opera of Ionesco's play.

Artistic Director of the Royal Opera House's new writing programme, OperaGenesis, involving working as dramaturg and script doctor on over thirty new opera projects, ranging from chamber opera and music-theatre to avant-garde film projects. Projects included Heart of Darkness (Tarik O'Regan), South Bank Award nominee 2012; Under The Volcano (Joseph Phibbs); Traps (Kenneth Hesketh); Sandman (Laura Bowler); Don't Breathe A Word (Andrew Lovett); Ada (Emily Howard); Dalston Songs (Helen Chadwick); Cocteau (Ed Hughes); Pedro Paramo (Stephen McNeff).

Singing the Meaning - Opera in Translation. International Translation Day at the British Library.

Szymanowski's Król Roger - dramaturgy and production history. Royal Opera House Insight event.

 Chaired debate on contemporary opera at European Opera Conference 2010 at the Royal Opera House.

  

Dramaturgical courses founded and led:

VOX - composing for voice. Composers' course at Royal Opera House founded and led course 2007-2012.

The Singing Word - UK's first course for opera librettists founded and led course 2009-2012.

  

Libretti and plays include:

Lady Chatterley's Lover - new stage adaptation written and directed for Reichenau Festival, Vienna, July 2017. Filmed for Austrian TV for broadcast in September 2017.

Four Sisters - opera with music by Elena Langer. Premiered 2012, New York, new production National Opera Studio London 2017, directed by David Pountney.

Unforgotten - cantata composed by Helen Chadwick

A La Carte - comic opera with music by Christopher Ross

Penelope in Connemara - opera with music by Evangelia Rigaki

OperaGenesis - conceived and co-designed OperaGenesis opera network interactive website at the Royal Opera House.

Twitterdämmerung - conceived and directed the world's first Twitter Opera, with texts collated from 2500 tweets on a guided Twitter feed at the Royal Opera House 2009. Covered by press and tv worldwide.

Josef Kainz Medal - one of Austria's premier theatre awards. Awarded for design work at Vienna Volkstheater, and directing of contemporary opera in Vienna.
